Anyone sweet enough to get me a blue polaroid? (:
I finally remember how cool polaroids are.
It's okay! I'll get one for myself next time. It's the first
material thing that I want besides a new phone, so yeah...
Today woke up around 10.
At 2.30, cabbed with bro to ACJC for HSM junior,
the musical, put up by my primary school.
Ah, I remember when I was in a musical...
2006. Primary 4. Holy Moses.
I felt so great on stage... It was an awesome feeling.
I get such a thrill when I'm up on stage... whether it was
performing or receiving a prize, to just graduating from the prefectorial board.
It really felt great... I wonder why I don't do it anymore.
It's something that I love, why don't I do it anymore?
Anyway. HSM junior was... interesting.
I mean, my bro being there just made everything retarded.
When I'm with him I just go nutso, so yea. Mum performed...
She was Miss. Darbus. :/ Both of us were like whacking our heads when
she came out...
Bro: "I can't believe it... I'm actually, EMBARRASSED, for her..."
Me: "Why is that so hard to believe? :D"
My mum's such a drama queen. She just over-does everything.
It just HAS to be made humorous and exaggerated.
LOL. It's entertaining nonetheless.
I've gotta say though, DLS's musicals are getting more and more
disappointing.. I mean. It's not my standard rising. I know that.
The first musical we'd ever had was "Joseph's Magic Techni-Coloured Dream Coat"
and that an unbelievable success. The lead actor was a P6
guy, gorgeous, tall, and had a great voice. I remember being in
the staff lounge where the choir teacher would be practicing with him
before the musical. I'd sit there doing my work while my mum was
in class, and he'd sing. I'd just be like... in awe.
The whole musical back then was fantastic. The MC's were my teachers.
(Mr cheng - my funny discipline master, and Mrs Luana Goh - a beautiful, sweet teacher).
It was in my school hall but they seriously did everything up really
well. There were the hand chairs in the front for the G.O.H's,
(those couches in the shape of palms :D) and then the
other chair lined up all the way to the back of the hall.
Singing, acting, everything was great.
but NOW...
They booked a really small auditorium in ACJC that was crammed
and had a really really small stage. The lighting was just basically
spotlights alone, the MC's were 3 small girls. Troy Bolton was played
by this guy who's height is about up to my chest, and the whole play
was just changed totally from the original storyline of HSM.
I mean... okay yeah I get that they want to involve more students,
thus the student MC's, and yeah I get that they're trying to make it a more
comfortable experience for the audience, thus the air-conditioned auditorium,
but we don't need all that right? It was just FINE back when they did
the 1st ever musical. It was so much more ORIGINAL and ENTERTAINING.
It was bright and colourful, the students were just as equally involved,
yet the show was well put-up and impressive.
Even the booths set up outside were small and had limited
things on sale...
Anyway... I think they actors and actresses really DID put in quite
a lot of effort in performing everything. So applause applause for that (:
I really don't mean to sound like a critic but that's just how I honestly feel.
and watching the musical... I really miss being on stage.
It was just a great feeling being a part of that production.
The applause you get afterwards, and the feeling of hours of
time in the AVA room and music room, practicing your songs, paying off.
and the amount of time spent in the school hall on stage after
schoolhours just practicing your lines, then finally going to the actual
venue and doing a full-dressed rehersal. Then seeing the place filling up,
and performing in front of your family and friends...
and friends of your family..
and family of your friends..
It really is a great feeling... Got me wanting to do it again.
Maybe I will.. I really don't know.. If I do I hope I'd be able to make
people proud, and feel the way I felt last time.

It's late already...
I'm not really tired at all but I'm going to
hit the sack in a while.
Gonna spam call somebody at 11.33 in the morning.
Just in case that person is already dead.
Hope you guys have a great Sunday ahead of you.
Love you all,
Zenda.
